OUR SAWN
Often twisted and sometimes regular, yellow/brown in color mixed with irregular grain create a completely unique visual impact characteristic and exclusive olive wood lumber. Sometimes they have various imperfections especially the many cracks due to the secularity of the trunk and the "nervousness" that distinguishes it.
The use of the planks is recommended for furniture and decorative objects.
CUT
Before making it, the trunk is carefully scrutinized by expert eyes trying to evade imperfections or defects, once the problem has been ascertained the thicknesses are established in order to optimize performance and quality….
SEASONING
It is to be considered to all effects a phase of the woodworking process. The goal is to make the greatest possible quantity of water lose in a natural way which is present within the table itself. During this process the wood undergoes color variations, in fact, once blackened, it is to be considered seasoned. The ADVANTAGE of a natural seasoning compared to a forced artificial drying, is to obtain a board with soft fiber although the olive tree is a hard wood par excellence minimizing cracks and "cracks" which cannot be managed with artificial drying. For a good seasoning it is advisable to strip the planks (as shown in the photo) and to store them in well-ventilated places
